DIY Swiss Army-Style Folding Keychain Gives You More Room in Your Pockets
If your huge jumble of keys is starting to get uncomfortable, DIY web site Instructables shows us how to add them to a Swiss Army-like folding tool.
The project isn't that complicated, though it could require quite a bit of elbow grease depending on the tools you have lying around. Essentially, you take a folding hex set, remove the tools, and replace them with filed-down versions of your keys. Some people recommend a bench grinder and a Dremel, but others have gotten by on similar projects with just a metal file and a lot of work. Hit the links to see how it's done—we've shared both versions of the project, each of which has some different ideas but with similar results.

Cool DIY, but I'm very much a keyring and minimal key fan. I can't stand having anything bigger in my pocket. House key, car key, and super thin LED flashlight on a simple metal ring. I keep occasional-use keys (my parent's house, rental property, etc.) on a separate keyring in my car. I also keep a keyring with ID cards (gym, grocery store, etc.) on another keyring in my car.
I'm with you. My wife and I keep a key rack on the wall next to the garage door with car key/house key sets for our respective daily drivers and the truck. Truck has an extra keychain in it with keys for the locking rack and a house key and gate key for our cabin. I can't stand stuff in my pockets--my "normal" keychain has two keys and a small Atwood Chigger, and I still put that in a bowl on my desk when I get to work.
And also the big one
