Uncertain about future career move

I have been trying to get a position in IT for past 1 year now since leaving Uni. I had a few phone interviews and 2 real interviews but ultimately was not successful.
I am now not sure what I should do next year.
My options are
1. Keep searching for work, but soon I might have to go on the work for the dole. And also going to the job agency 2 times a week is so freaking boring.
2. Go back Tafe to study something. Should it be more IT or something else completely different?
Or try Uni again but from my past experience I did not do so well. Probably cos I picked the wrong degree, also transport is pain to get there with so many train changes and not I missed too many lectures which was the main factor.
