Well, YouTube has had another think and decided that it in fact doesn't violate its rules on nudity and sexual content.

So art fans can breathe a sigh of release.. erm, I mean relief.

The video, which was directed by famed fashion photographer Terry Richardson, was an instant hit the minute it was uploaded to YouTube.

It begins with the photographer standing beside a bikini-clad Upton in a drab hallway.

Upton, 19, says "Cat Daddy", he replies "Take it away, Kate" and she starts busting moves to The Rej3ctz's Cat Daddy.

The swimwear model, who doesn't get nude or even suffer a nipple slip, cuts the show short a minute into the dance, laughing at Richardson and covering her breasts: "That's it, that's all you guys need," she says.

But that's not the end of the piece: the dance is replayed in reverse and then in slow-mo.

The video was yanked by YouTube on Wednesday but by then it had gone viral and been transferred to other video sharing sites.

YouTube, obviously hurt by the backlash and the ad money it was missing out on, reversed its decision.

A spokeswoman for the site said: "With the massive volume of videos on our site, sometimes we make the wrong call.

"When it's brought to our attention that a video has been removed mistakenly, we act quickly to reinstate it."

The New York Daily News reports that Upton thought the ban was "completely silly" given that she regularly appears in a bikini for Sports Illustrated.

Upton's video is a reference to a wildly popular YouTube clip of her doing "the Dougie". Cat Daddy is a dance created by The Rej3ctz and is an add-on on the "Teach Me How To Dougie" dance.

It is also slang for a "dude over 55 who can still get it". Although he looks it, Richardson is not over 55.
